Teaching how to do "yes" command

Postby Cougar » Mon May 04, 2009 9:43 am

Hi everyone,

We've been trying this new trick, its very simple. We pretty much want to teach Cougar how to nod his head when we say "yes" >nod<
We've done it a couple of times by placing his treat in front of him and moving it up and down while we say YES.
Its a very basic trick, but we think its pretty cute, we're thinking it will be pretty quick to learn and cant wait to have a conversation with him and say "yes" and he starts noding his head >bouncy<
We will keep you all posted on the results.

That would be super adorable.

I had a cat that picked up some human language and said "yeah" and "no" in response to my talking and questions. Is he a vocal cat? maybe you could ad some speaking too? (that would be really complicated though)

keep us informed. I can't wait to see a video of it.

I cant tell you how much of a vocal cat Cougar is...sometimes it seems like he would be able to speak.
Thats actually a good idea kat505hi! thanks
That could be the next step. It has gotten to the point that we know what he needs depending on the tone of his "meows" >rolleyes<
